District Central Holiday Gift Ideas!
Another year, another season, another holiday… Christmas is just around the corner! This year, the SDC District Central would like to showcase some of its members who can help with your holiday gift shopping.
With an area of more than 25 million square feet, the territory is filled with Quebec-based businesses across a wide range of sectors, including beauty and wellness, fashion, art and food. We have carefully selected offers that are sure to help simplify your shopping and allow you to discover great gift ideas from local businesses.
CHRISTMAS MARKETS
The weekend of December 15 to 17 promises to be a festive one! Four Christmas markets will be held in the area. It's the perfect time to make the most of your trip to the neighborhood and take advantage of all that the artists and artisans have to offer!
1) MARCHÉ CENTRAL CHRISTMAS MARKET
Dive into the holiday spirit in the heart of Marché Central under a large, heated tent. Come and meet Santa, shop for gifts from local artisans, participate in a Christmas cookie decorating workshop or take part in games organized for the occasion. Treats and comforting hot beverages will be served throughout the day.
Saturday, December 2 and Sunday, December 3, near Marshalls, 1001 rue de Marché Central.
2) PORT-ROYAL AND BELLEVILLE CHRISTMAS MARKET
Back for another year, this new edition was created in collaboration with Les Ateliers Belleville, who are hosting the market in their new space on Legendre Street. More than 50 artists will be on site to offer you a panoply of choices. There will be glassware by Geneviève Feuillard, plush toys by Dominique Dansereau, photographic works by Nina Bouchard, carpets by QueeRugs, and of course a canteen by chef William Hernandez.
Friday, December 15 to Sunday, December 17 at 545 rue Legendre Ouest.
3) CHRISTMAS MARKET AT SILO
On December 16, Silo is hosting a Christmas market, with a festive musical atmosphere to mark the occasion. More than seven businesses, including 5 from within the District Central, will be participating. There will be something for everyone, from jewelry by Horace, to succulents by Cactus en ligne, candies by La Boîte à bonbons, natural skincare by Lisa Noto Cosmétique and upcycled bags by Firebag.
Saturday, December 16 from 2:00 p.m. at 109 rue Louvain Ouest .
4) THE GAZELLES CHRISTMAS MARKET
On Saturday, December 9, the Club des Gazelles team will be supporting local artisan purchasing with a wide variety of local, original products representing Montreal's cultural diversity. In addition, this year's event supports the Lise Watier Foundation, dedicated to the financial autonomy of women through support for entrepreneurship, the pursuit of post-secondary studies and the search for rewarding employment.
5) ROSE BUDDHA CHRISTMAS MARKET
Rose Buddha organizes its first Christmas market in its new workshop! The Quebec-based eco-responsible and ethical clothing company welcomes you for 3 days, along with 2 other brands : Rachel and Kana, and a thrift store area.
Thursday, December 14 and Friday, December 15 from 5pm to 9pm, and Sunday, December 16 from 9am to 5pm at 51 rue de Louvain Ouest.
